The assembly pin broke on 24Apr13 and I sent an email requesting a new one. Received it today 3May13. Can't complain about this service, I'm going to order some backups tomorrow.
I dont know what these other guys are talking about.

I have fired 5000 rounds of various types of ammo though my PMR-30 and have never had a single problem with this pin. I use two different slides but always the same pin. I can only assume people are torquing the pin or something.

Pin broke after less than 800 rds.
Keltec rep explained that on an early run the pin groove was too deep, causing the easy breakage.
Sent me new pin with no questions asked.

This pin is poorly made and a new replacement should be sent to any owner who experiences a failure at no charge.
it is a potential safety as well as obvious operational issue.

Less than 500 rounds and she breaks. I have a 50 year old ChiCom trust more than pmr30. Guess you could always throw it at attackers.

Brother-in-law asked if I knew how to break down a keltech pmr30. Just shoot it. Heard Toyota has skilled CNC techs. KelTech should take some lessons.

.Kel Tec does NOT answer the phone, reply to emails or snail mail. The gun is a blast to shoot and is extremely accurate, but this pin issue and their lack of response really sucks.
It fits - but that's it

Only three hundred rounds of ammo recommended by Kel-Tec and it broke in half. Only half of the pin was there when I removed to clean pistol.

How hard could it be to make a suitable assembly pin?.Kel-Tec's claim to fame
is innovative design. For a CNC shop to have issues with a pin makes me question any future kel-tec purchases, just my two
    cents.

I tried to get it replaced was on hold for 45 minutes. As for my broken one I have about 500 rounds through it didn't even notice until I went to clean it. I am thinking this being broken might have been is the reason I had so many jams

I have had two of these snap in half, both only made it to about 500 rounds. It is almost laughable how weak this part is. If the pistol wasnt such a fun shooter I would not be very happy. KelTech... Fix this already or offer free replacements.

Gun is awesome but this assembly pin is BS. Atleast now I know to never carry this gun for protection. Great for squirrels or target shooting but by no means ready to use for self defense.

I have had so much fun with this gun. But the assembly pin problem scares me. Its a safety problem that makes shooting the gun a serious safety issue for me. A stainless steel pin would easily solve this problem.

It is unacceptable that this critical part fails at all, nevermind as frequently as it does. Keltec should do the right thing and recall that part. I will be buying one for now.

I agree this is a safety issue and should be replaced at no cost or do a recall for this defective part. I will be replacing my broke pin also.

I love the gun but is this problem being addressed by Kel Tec?
I will order two for now, but I think Kel Tec should send them to us at no charge.
